The objective of this course is to improve the understanding of what constitutes migration governance and to provide an overview of the main migration trends in the Caribbean region. The course's overarching objective is to equip a critical mass of policy officials and national statistical offices staff with a sound knowledge of traditional data sources on migration and of international standards on migration statistics. In particular, the course intends to increase awareness of migration-relevant data from national censuses, household surveys as well as administrative data sources.
